Does PPC Advertising Work?

Posted by D S

by: Debbie Ray

PPC advertising, also known as pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, allows website owners to get laser-targeted visitor traffic to their websites without having to stretch their budgets too far. It is is one of the most popular ways to get additional traffic to your website that are used today.

PPC advertising works on the following premise: that you only pay when the advertising has done its job. Essentially, you bid on certain strategic keywords or key phrases with search engines such as Google, Yahoo or MSN. If you win the bid for that term your website ad will come up high on the list of advertisers when those keywords are looked for in any online search.

The benefit of using PPC advertising is that you only pay your bid on a key word or key phrase if customers click on the link to your ad in the search engine results. The more your ad is clicked on, the more you pay. The overall goal with any PPC advertising campaign is to get website traffic and if you are paying more, you are getting more visitors to your website.

There are some important things to know as you begin to consider any pay-per-click advertising campaign. First, it is very important that you choose the keywords that are best suited to your particular web site. Your advertising dollar will do you little good if the people who find you through your PPC ads are not looking for whatever it is you are selling.

PPC advertising can be a very successful marketing tool when used correctly, but you must maximize the efficiency of your ads in order for it to work well for your business. PPC advertising can be used as your only method of advertising, or it can be used in conjunction with various other forms of advertising.

PPC advertising can typically take one of two forms. First are the ads you see spread throughout the Internet. These may be obvious or may be more effectively merged into the site construction and offer a short blurb describing your business and a link to your site. The second common form of PPC advertising is paid search engine rankings. This strategy allows customers searching for your particular keywords to find you at the top of the search engine listing, even if your site ranking wouldn't normally place you there otherwise.

There are many different ways to get your web site seen online. This type of advertising makes sense to people who want to make sure that they are only paying for results, and not pre-paying for something that may or may not prove beneficial. This is where PPC advertising works best for website owners; you only pay when someone clicks on your website through the search engine.

As an owner of several online business websites myself, I've learned that using PPC advertising can be beneficial in several ways. When I completed my first business web site and was ready to launch it, I wasn't really sure how I was going to attract new customers. A friend of mine was using PPC advertising with her own website, and explained the process to me.

Generally speaking, you bid for key words or key phrases that are targeted to your websites audience (with one or more search engines), and if you win one of the top bids the search engines will rank your website on or close to the top of the list when people use those keywords. Tip: you want to be seen in one of the top three ads if possible for best exposure.

The great thing about PPC advertising is that you only pay a certain amount when someone clicks on your ad link when it comes up in the search engine. To me, Pay-per-click advertising is a win-win situation, and though it isn't the only form of advertising I use, it is definitely one that I will frequently use.

If you are trying to get more exposure for your website you really should take a serious look at PPC advertising. It has proven over the last couple of years to be one of the most effective marketing tools in the business. It has been estimated that millions of dollars are paid out per year for PPC advertising, proving that it really has a place in online advertising. PPC advertising works because people respond to it.

Whether you are into PPC advertising to make money or you need exposure for your website you will find this type of marketing very lucrative. Google has really made a name for itself with pay per click advertising with its Adsense program and there are many programs that have followed on its heels.

Web publishers like the idea of PPC advertising because the links are relevant and they get paid for each web visitor that clicks on the link. Advertisers like the pay-per-click advertising method because their ad is placed on relevant web pages. Because the idea is to make the web page and the advertisement relevant to one another more people will click, benefiting both parties.

Pay-per-click advertising is simply genius, no matter what side of the business you are on. It works because if people don't find all of the information they need in one place they will click on the links on that page. Also, people trust web pages that provide good content, so they assume that the links on the page are worth clicking. All around PPC advertising works because it is set up to work! This is a truly flawless advertising plan.

Is PPC advertising suitable for you? If you're looking to increase your online presence, find new customers, sell more product or simply make your brand known, PPC advertising may be right for you. With careful thought, PPC advertising can be both profitable and beneficial for your online business.

PPC Campaign Management

Pay Per Click (PPC) Management on Search Engine Success

Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising is extensively used as an online marketing tool, either as part of an SEO campaign or as a standalone service. PPC is a paid placement service where you can place targeted ads on search engines results pages as well as on websites. Unlike a natural search engine optimization campaign that takes time to achieve results, a PPC advertising campaign promises instant results. It is also cost-effective, as you pay nothing to be featured on the search engines results page. Instead, you pay only when someone clicks on your ad.

YELLOW7.COM provides organizations and SEO firms with an eclectic blend of PPC Advertising Solutions ranging from PPC Campaign Management to PPC Bid Management and Internet Advertising to ensure that your website ranks higher on PPC search engine listings and attracts targeted traffic. PPC advertising provides seasonal or new products and service launches with the initial thrust necessary for success. It also provides websites that are otherwise unable to attain top rankings on search engines with an opportunity to rank highly.

Google and Overture PPC Search Engines

Google and Overture are highly sought after by Internet marketers because of their enormous reach and ROI. Both search engines allow you to select target keywords and keyword phrases, choose a landing page and submit modified titles and representations for each keyword. Your ad then appears in Google and Overture search results, as well as within their search partner networks.

YELLOW7.COM PPC Advantages

YELLOW7.COM delivers PPC campaigns that are focused on performance, benefits and a return on investment that is in sync with your sales and marketing goals. Our recommendations are a result of an extensive analysis of your target audience's demographics, psychographics and online buying behavior. We select an appropriate bidding strategy from the gamut of bidding strategies offered by PPC search engines and customize it to suit your business needs. Further, YELLOW7.COM creates your PPC ads and then monitors and analyzes the click-through rates and sales conversion ratio of the ads.

Coupled with the experience of our SEO experts, in-house proprietary technology and a strong relationship with search engines, YELLOW7.COM benefits you with a quantifiable PPC advertising campaign. Paid Inclusions Index Instantly

If you feel that the natural search engine optimization process is a lengthy and time-consuming process, then Paid Inclusion Campaign Management (PICM) is best for you. PICM benefits you with quick and updated indexing of your website and specific pages. At the same time, paid website submission attracts qualified traffic to your website or specific landing pages. While paid website submission services do not guarantee top search engine rankings, it does guarantees your websites inclusion in the database.

At YELLOW7.COM, our Paid Inclusion Campaign Management Solutions (PICMS) are designed to complement your natural search engine optimization initiatives and guide you in making strategic paid inclusion purchase decisions. We have established relationships with major search engines providing paid inclusion programs and ensure that your website gets top listings in all major search engines and directories. YELLOW7.COM's skilled team of SEO experts research your website to select specific web pages for inclusion in paid inclusion campaign programs.

YELLOW7.COM's Feed Optimization For Quicker Indexing

Several search engines like Yahoo!, AltaVista, Fast and others charge advertisers a fee to get their web pages indexed quickly. Though these pages reside within the natural search results, they are not labeled as paid. For websites with many pages or URLs, the inclusion is done via XML feeds - a technology that allows pages deep within a site, such as a service page five levels below the homepage, to be indexed almost immediately. XML feeds are priced on a fixed cost-per-click rate, without any keyword bidding. However, creating an XML feed is not enough; optimizing it is important.

YELLOW7.COM's feed optimization solutions include performance analysis, managing to ROI and branding metrics, keyword analysis, title and description edits to include a call to action and price point mentions. This service is ideal for e-commerce websites that update inventory on a regular basis. New products can be quickly integrated into the paid inclusion campaign, while out of stock items can be easily removed. It must be noted that paid inclusion can be more cost effective than a paid or sponsored search ad.

Lawyer Marketing fuses with Social Media: Web 2.0 Revolution

The Web 2.0 Revolution: Lawyer Marketing fuses with Social Media
2009-05-21 20:39:28 (GMT) (Caymanmama.com - Marketing Press Release News)

Dallas, Texas (CaymanMama.com) –As is a customary practice in many industries, the way to bring in more customers is to use the latest and greatest methods to market services. Lawyers have found it increasingly difficult to do so since old habits die hard.

When it comes to promoting services on the web, lawyers often feel they have hit a wall with no sense of direction. When that happens, lawyers begin to a hard-core campaign of self-promotion and become frustrated when the effects are not what they desired.

First, an attorney or law firm’s blog, website, social media, and videos should not be used as a blatant billboard of self-promotion. Exposure is one thing but screaming “look at me!” to readers can send clients away faster than the blink of an eye. Continue Reading

Use Pay Per Click (PPC) During The Holiday Shopping Season

Posted by D S

by: BizAtomic

The holiday shopping season has a beginning, middle, and end. You can argue it begins in September and ends in January. No matter what timeframe you have it’s still a finite period of time during which a very large percentage of yearly retail sales are made. You have to strike while the iron is hot. It is unrealistic to expect users to locate your online presence by directly entering your website address. More than 75 percent of Internet consumers use search engines and directories to look for products, services and information.

The problem is it takes time to optimize your website and for spiders to magically index your site in relation to the billions and billions and billions of other websites. Well maybe not that many. The question is how do you get people to your website for that brief three or four month selling season. Answer: you buy your way in.

Pay per click (PPC) search engines, also known as pay-for-performance, are engines which allow website owners to determine their sites ranking in that particular search engines results by bidding on keywords. Usually the first three to five search results are used by a network of partner search sites. The result for the site owner or webmaster is a lot more highly targeted traffic and a lot more sales.

PPC has a small setup fee, and higher recurring costs than Search Engine Optimization (SEO). However, while SEO can take months or longer to build traffic, PPC will immediately send targeted traffic to your website. You may pay more for the convenience of instantly turning your traffic on and off, but to many it is worthwhile.

Pay Per Click search allows you to effectively connect with customers searching online for your products and services. You select words that relate to your business and your website appears in search results on selected sites when search users enter those words. You pay for each sales lead, not each impression, leading to a high return on your advertising investment. You also control your costs by determining the price you are willing to pay per lead - the more you pay, the higher your listings appear within the search results and the greater the number of potential customers that see your listing. The underlying idea to pay per click search engines is that you find keywords related to your website and then you bid on these keywords and buy high positions on your chosen engine. Your bid amount is the amount you're willing to pay for each visitor that visits your site through the search results.

The more times a word or phrase has been searched for the higher you'll have to bid to get high rankings. The only limitation is that your site must be at least vaguely relevant to the keyword you want to bid on (if you bid for terms that weren't really directly related to your website, people would come to your site, not buy anything, and you'd still pay for the visit. It's like giving the PPC search engines free money, therefore it's vital to always stay relevant). These engines allow you to skip all the search engine optimization stuff and simply pay for visitors.

PPC is perfect for a finite period of time because you can start and stop it when necessary. Benefits of PPC are:

* You only pay for visitors. Unlike banner advertising where you pay each time someone sees your ad, pay-per-click engines only charge you when someone actually clicks on your listing. This means you're getting guaranteed visits.

* Pay-per-click engines provide highly targeted cheap visitors. Often you can buy a good ranking on a decent keyword for as little as 1 cent or 2 cents per click. Overture has of late installed $.05 as the minimum bid however. Popular search terms can cost much more on the big pay per click search engines most notably Google Adwords, Overture.com and Findwhat.com. Even still PPC engines are one of the most cost effective way of driving targeted people to your site. Google Adwords, Overture.com and Findwhat.com are the pay-per-click engines most often recommended.

BizAtomic Pay Per Click (PPC) Campaign Management allows your site to be advertised on various keywords optimized for your business. Using a bidding mechanism, you purchase the right to have your business listed in a set position for your keywords. This process provides instant gratification as your site can be listed at the top of searches instantly.

The BizAtomic PPC campaign is aimed at delivering the maximum ROI for your PPC budget with an eye on high conversions, higher CTR and lower cost of customer acquisition.

The Advantages of PPC (Pay-Per-Click):

* Control: you always know who you are reaching, what keywords you want to run your PPC campaign on, what countries or even what city you want your PPC ads to appear for and what language should they be displayed in. You also control how much you bid for each advertisement and how much you want to spend in total.

* Targeted Traffic: You get to target the right audience without worrying about irrelevant traffic. If you sell blue shoes, you can select your ad to appear only when a search engine user types "Buy Blue Shoes". Of course people need to be searching for the particular keyword.

* Instant: Another big advantage of PPC is that it is instant. The PPC ads appear almost instantly and respond to the changes or modification made instantly.

* Branding: You can choose the words in which you want to describe your business and also have the freedom of having the visitor visit the exact page you want them to see.

* Site Architecture Independent: No architectural changes need to be made to sites to rank on PPC keywords. For example, flash websites can run PPC campaigns without having to worry about search engine crawlers.

If your objective is to increase traffic to your website or increase brand awareness, PPC is one of the most important and safest bets on the search engines.
